Hi everybody!
I'm new to the forum and this is my first post. I hope I am posting this in the right place. I am fairly new to computers and the internet, about 1 1/2 years and almost all I have done on my computer so far is read bibletruths.com. No kidding, I can't get enough! Its taken over a year to read through all the articles and I'm ready to start all over again, but I get curious about the forum so I get up enough nerve to venture in here and then there is even more. You talk about spiritual over load, its overwhelming sometimes, but I am elated, soaring in the spirit.

Anyway, this is my first and only forum I've joined and I've been trying to get a feel for it, maneuvering through it for awhile and so I'm ready to introduce myself. Sorry it has taken me so long to say hi. I also needed to be sure I was in the right place. I'm sure now!
You have no idea how long I've been looking for you all and how I've longed to fellowship with Gods people. To think that I would find you in computerland, cause I sure hadn't been able to find you out there anywhere if you know what I mean.

I've been alone in the wilderness, so to speak, being taught of Gods Spirit these past 5 years. Don't get me wrong its been great and has lead me to the True Gospel of the Kingdom and to you all. Let me explain though. If you go to the testimony board I will be posting a short version of my testimony and how I was lead here and to bibletruths.com. In this way I am hoping you will get to know me a little bit better as I have come to know you a little bit by reading some of your testimony's and posts over the last month or so. I am so looking forward to fellowship with all of you and getting to know you better in the future here on the forum.

In the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ,   Crystal

Hi Crystal,

So glad you found your way in.  I have heard many members say that they read and lurked for over a year before ever posting.  I read for a month and jumped right in but I probably should have read more first because I took what little knowledge I had obtained and just started asking question that had been asked and answered many times.  I am sure you will have a lot less questions having gone about it the way you did.

Anyway, welcome and I look forward to your input here.  Don't be a stranger.

Welcome Crystal,
You certainly sound excited about joining; this is a great place to be and grow.

Once more, it is great you've decided to be part of this group. I cannot wait to read a little about your "history". I haven't posted mine yet, although I've been a guest for 3 years before I ever joined the forum. Maybe some day in the near future I will write a more detailed version of how I got here.

God bless you,
Angie

Hi Crystal.  I really enjoyed and identified with your introduction.  I'm glad you've decided that this is 'the right place'.  I had the same apprehensions at first as well, and came to the same conclusion.  Looking forward to continued fellowship with you.

Hi Crystal,

I'm glad you have joined us  Smiley
When we are dragged to the truth (John 6:44) it seems that the rest of the world takes a backseat for awhile.  Then the next thing we know the world is not the same to us, we are no longer "of the world" (John 15:19; 17:14, 16), we don't seem to fit in anymore.  But we can have peace

John 16:33 These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.

1 John 4:4 Little children, you are of God, and have overcome them; for he who is in you is greater than he who is in the world.

We are here to share and help one another in this walk, I hope the fellowship here will help you as much as it has helped me.

Wow, God's people are so diverse and interesting! I was another one who read and joined at the same time! I was involved in another chat room for about 5 years a while back and loved it and the friendships I made. I still am close to some of those whom I have never met in person. Now I have like-minded friends here that I hope to meet someday.  Can't wait to read your testimony and get to know you better. Having read so much and been in the desert with the Lord and this knowledge for so long, you will be a wonderful addition to our family!
He always knows what is best for each of us and His timing is perfect!

Blessings, Lin

maybe I should keep my head above water

hi crystal,
as i read the above phrase from your post, i thought, the only way to keep our heads above the water is to stand on the Rock that is Jesus Christ. His strength and His stature will help us keep our heads up so we don't drown in the fast moving waters of the world.
