What you think about William Marrion Branham?
« on: January 23, 2011, 10:59:53 AM »

Hello Ray

I hope your health has improved.
I am very interested in your site and I want to know what you think about William Marrion Branham?

Best regards

Dear Elisee:

I am glad that you are finding our site interesting.  Regarding your
question on William Marrion Branham:  I receive at least one or more
emails a month asking about a specific teacher/preacher/prophet, etc.,
and what I think of this one, or that one.  Along with this line of inquiry,
I am also asked which other teachers/preachers/prophets, etc., I would
recommend.  I recommend no one, and do site, and no church.

As for Mr. Branham, it took me all of about 5 minutes to discover his
multitude of false prophesies, heresies, and fabrications.  Here is just

one example:

"Branham said he had received seven major prophecies in 1933 regarding
events unfolding in the world.[74] He predicted "that 1977 ought to terminate
the world systems and usher in the millennium."

“    Based on these seven visions, along with the rapid changes which have swept the world in the last fifty years, I PREDICT (I do not prophesy) that these visions will have all come to pass by 1977. And though many may feel that this is an irresponsible statement in view of the fact that Jesus said that 'no man knoweth the day nor the hour.' I still maintain this prediction after thirty years because, Jesus did NOT say no man could know the year, month or week in which His coming was to be completed. So I repeat, I sincerely believe and maintain as a private student of the Word, along with Divine inspiration that 1977 ought to terminate the world systems and usher in the millennium.[75]"

He also predicted that Los Angeles would fall under the ocean.  Etc., etc., etc.

I don't know what else to say.  I just marvel that people by the millions are so
eager to follow these hundreds and thousands of Christian charlatans.  He died
in a horrible auto accident.  They apparently kept his body in a Funeral Home for
four months before burrying him, thinking that God would resurrect him from the
dead.  I assure you that I teach absolutely NOTHING which these renowned
heretics preach and teach.

God be with you,

Ray
