Enoch?
« on: April 21, 2007, 06:43:08 AM »

how do you explain the book of enoch andhow lucifer or satan and his angel went up to heaven to go against gods throne and battle it out with gods angels  and lost and was cast out and told there would be no forgiveness surely this sounds similar to  the verse you discredit in your article about lucifer...what say you??

Dear Reader:

The result of this supposed fornication between women and angels produced giants, and according to the book of Enoch, we read this:

[Chapter 7]

"1 And all the others together with them took unto themselves wives, and each chose for himself one, and they began to go in unto them and to defile themselves with them, and they taught them charms 2 and enchantments, and the cutting of roots, and made them acquainted with plants. And they 3 became pregnant, and they bare great giants, whose height was three thousand ells: Who consumed 4 all the acquisitions of men. And when men could no longer sustain them, the giants turned against 5 them and devoured mankind. And they began to sin against birds, and beasts, and reptiles, and 6 fish, and to devour one another’s flesh, and drink the blood. Then the earth laid accusation against the lawless ones."

And so these giants were "three thousand ells." An ell is variously considered to be 25 ro 45 inches, so you do the math!

Jesus did not subscribe to such nonsense. These are clearly not the word of the prophet Enoch of Genesis. Besides, the Scriptures are clear, these "sons of God" took to them "daughters of men" and MARRIED THEM!  And Jesus plainly tells us that "Angels DO NOT MARRY."

God be with you,
