Let me introduce myself

Hi, my name is John Popovich.  I live in the Johnstown area of PA.  I, like a lot of you, was in the Worldwide Church of God for 25 years, 1971 to 1996.  I've been reading Bible Truths for a little over 3 years and wholeheartedly agree with all of Ray's teachings.  I always read the forum to learn more and especially to see who is requesting prayer.  Hopefully I will get to meet most of you at the Nashville conference.

Welcome to the forum. The people here are very helpful. There are also some audios and transcripts of some of Ray's teachings that are great too. They are in the introductions section. The forum helps to clarify on some of the teaching and is a good place for fellowship too. I'm glad you are here and I am looking forward to hearing more from you.

Yes I'm one of the WWCG folk, was there for 25 years.  One thing that I did gain from WW was a physical knowledge of the Old Tesament.  I guess all those Holy Day services were not in vein.
Do join in the discussions.  I have found that I stay in the Scriptures while here, reading what people post and searching to find a answer. 
I feel close to many of the people here and I really do enjoy the fellowship very much.

               Glad to have you with us, I noticed that your from Johnstown, Pa. My youngest Daughter lives in Altoona, Pa, I visit her at least once a month. I live in Easton, Pa. which is located next to the Delare River, bordering New Jersey, 15 miles East of Allentown. You state that you've been reading the material from this Site for three years, that's a good thing. I spent most of my Spiritual journey as one of Jehovah's Witnesses, resigning in 2004(voluntarily).

Pennsylvania is located bordering New York at the North, New Jersey to it's East, Ohio to it's West, and Maryland to it's South. New Jersey sits next to the Atlantic Ocean; this is all part of what we call the Northeastern part of the United States. Johnstown, Pa is sorta South Central Western, Pa, approximately 110 miles East of the Ohio/Pa border. Pennsylvania is approximately 360 miles East to west and approximately 220 miles North to South, thats not exact, but it's shaped sorta like a rectangle.

       Hi Everyone,
  Thanks for the warm welcome.It's an awesome priviledge and blessing to be
a part of this small group that GOD has given a love of the truth.   
   I print with one finger so please be patient with my reply's. Kat I like you
learned a lot about what was written in the bible while in the (WCG) thinking
that I really understood it. What a surprise when GOD dragged me to BIBLE-
TRUTHS.com.and as I started reading it didn't take long before I said "that
ain't right " But unlike the aprox.60,ooo people coming  to this site a mth.did
not close this site ,but GOD having mercy on me caused me to get the bible
and look up the scriptures Ray had posted and say "wow,he is right". This went
on for days reading the scriptures and being convicted by GOD'S word and doing
a lot of repenting along the way;even for thithing all those yrs.because that
money was used to propagate herecy. What a rollercoaster ride it's been;the ups and downs. It may seem strange to some of you ;but its only in the last
2 weeks that I have been able to tell GOD I love HIM ;for in my 3 years of praying to HIM ,I would tell HIM 'how can I say I love YOU and be losing all
these battles to the flesh I felt I would be a hypocrite-SORIN and others you
are not alone in your struggles even though at times we -as RAY puts it in
one of his e.mails [I be normal=I ok ] we put on a good front. We all need to
continue praying for one another and know for sure that our LOVING FATHER
will finish the work HE has started in us-wither in this age or the future age
GODS will be done.
     SAmson I would enjoy getting together with you on one of your  visits
to ALTOONA -let me know how to acomplish this if it's ok with you
