Yes, although I possess no wisdom (don't even say that ) I think you are right. His heart probably deeply desires to know and understand God. He probably sees something in you and wants it too (joy, peace etc). He is hoping you will explain the hope that is in you, where it came from (God drew you). Marques has a good thread going now (on general discussion "best approach") on how we could approach people who ask these kind of questions; where and how to start. We all certainly face challenges when trying to know how best to approach the subject. Every situation is a little different. Every person inquiring is a little different, coming from different backgrounds, cultures, preconceived ideas etc. I know I have a really difficult time too my friend. Most people will, or can not understand. God has to draw them first too before they will even be receptive to listening to you. It is good that you care to share your joy in Him! Blessings my friend. WOW u remind me . I didn't know if it works. |

Sorry Judy,I was coming from this point of reference and hence the reason for my response. No harm, no foul...
Quote 2094 zahar zaw-har' a primitive root; to gleam; figuratively, to enlighten (by caution):--admonish, shine, teach, (give) warn(-ing). Peace...Mark |

Quote Marky Mark, let your confusion be no more. Behold, I show you the truth. Chicken Came Before the Egg: "Scientific Proof" British scientists claim to have solved one of the great mysteries of life, the universe and everything in it: The chicken came before the egg, they say, and they're not mincing words. http://www.cbsnews.com/stories/2010/07/14/tech/main6676542.shtml Thanks GaryK... you made my day. Hey Mr.Hawking, put this in your pipe and smoke it. ![]() Quote Which is good, because in spite of HECToR's hard work and the "scientific proof" it yielded, the study offered no explanation as to how the chicken got there in the first place. If not from an egg, perhaps it just came from across the road. ![]() Peace...Mark |

Mark, admonish, the definition has nothing to do with encouraging. I do see where my idea of admonishment was more like the word rebuke. Admonish is a more gentler reminder of a fault. So, when I was thinking more like rebuke I saw it as God coming down like lightening and scouraging the living whatever out of us.
Thought that was a bit too much! But to warn us and gently move us in another direction, I can handle. I also see where your encouraging statement of the written word and the salvation of the cross is coming from. Thanks, Judy |

Hi Stacey. It's good to hear from you. Your honesty is wonderful. I don't know if I could have written that
even though I'm going through something very similar. Praying on my knees: I used to have a habit of every morning praying on my knees. But, I read where Ray said nothing physical is spiritual. So, why should I be on my knees? Now I sit in a comfortable chair and have quiet time. Read the bible: Yes, I don't read the bible as much. I'm a little irratated at myself for reading it the wrong way. Although, daily bible reading gave me a foundation for what I believe today. Talk about God: My witnessing is better now because I tell people about the love of God and I'm not worried sick about one of my friends going to hell because of me. |

Craig used the word, "lecture" in the council and encouragement he shared. That word "lecture" that we are cautioned not to engage, can perhaps be replaced with the word, communicate, from the heart, your heart of care and sensitivity with reverential regard for God, towards those He has put in the dark fear of their bondage and blindness for the Purpose of His Glory, until He releases them for that Glory.
![]() What a marvelous work and privilege to be included in, by God who gave you the joy to consider the questions your wife has asked santikos. God has caused you to have patience and forbearance and kindness and of course you love her, which helps! ![]() Arc |
